Sitwell Park Golf Club
Parkland Course in Rotherham, England
Sitwell Park Golf Club, established in 1913, is a parkland course located in South Yorkshire, England. The course was designed by the renowned architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, known for his work on courses like Augusta National. The layout is known for its undulating fairways, strategic bunkering, and subtly contoured greens, which retain much of MacKenzie's original character, though some of his more eccentric green designs were reportedly flattened early on. The course shapes around a hillside, presenting sloping lies and elevated greens that demand precision. While not a regular Open Qualifying venue, Sitwell Park has previously hosted Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship, as seen in 2019.
