Silsden Golf Club (18-Hole Course)

Silsden Golf Club, founded in 1911, is a parkland course located near Keighley in West Yorkshire, England. The club began as a combined golf and tennis club before moving to its current location and expanding from 9 holes to 14, and finally to 18 holes in the late 1990s. The course, while not overly long at around 5,100 yards and playing to a par of 67, presents its challenges with some tight par threes and undulating terrain. The signature hole is the 11th, a par three known for its deceptive green slopes. The club faced financial difficulties in recent years, leading to the sale of its assets in 2014 and a lease agreement for the course. In early 2020, the club announced its closure due to declining membership and financial struggles. The clubhouse, which was significantly upgraded in 2002 with the help of a lottery grant, was later converted into a private dwelling, with a smaller facility retained for members and visitors.
