Branshaw Golf Club

Branshaw Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Brontë country in West Yorkshire, England, offers a moorland golfing experience with panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The club was founded in March 1912 as a 9-hole course, later expanding to 18 holes in 1925 on land leased and eventually purchased from the Duke of Devonshire. A significant drainage project in 1995, supported by a Lottery grant, improved the course's year-round playability. The course layout was influenced by the notable architects James Braid and Dr Alister Mackenzie. Branshaw has also had two former Ryder Cup players, Bert Jolly and Alex Caygill, serve as their professionals.
