Shooters Hill Golf Club, established in 1903, is a parkland course situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, offering views across the North Kent countryside. Originally a 3-hole layout, it was expanded to 18 holes by Willie Park Jr. in 1907 and later remodelled by Harris and Colt in the 1930s. The course, measuring 5,749 yards with a par of 69, presents a challenging yet fair test of golf with notable elevation changes and demanding greens. Its history includes a period during WWII when part of the course was used for an anti-aircraft battery and a prisoner of war camp, and the clubhouse served as Home Guard headquarters. The course reopened fully in 1951, the same year Bobby Locke set a course record of 65 in an exhibition match. While not a well-known Open Qualifying location historically, the club maintains a rich golfing heritage.
