Seaham Golf Club

Seaham Golf Club, established in 1911 and situated on the northeast coast of England, offers a heathland test with panoramic views of the North Sea. Originally a 9-hole course measuring 2700 yards, it was later extended to 18 holes. While Wallace Brown is cited as the architect, Dr. Alister MacKenzie also made recommendations for changes to greens and bunkers around 1913. The course, playing just over 6000 yards with a par of 70, features five par 3s and three par 5s. The layout includes strategically placed bunkers and natural obstacles, providing a challenge, especially when coastal winds are a factor. The club has undertaken various course improvements over the years, including remodeling holes, improving grass, renovating bunkers, and installing a watering system.
