Sapey Golf Club (The Rowan Course)

Sapey Golf Club, situated on the rolling hills bordering Herefordshire and Worcestershire, offers a tranquil golfing escape. Established in 1990, the club features the 18-hole Rowan Course, designed by European Golf Design (Ross McMurray), and a 9-hole par 3 Oaks Course added in 1999. The Rowan Course, a parkland layout, presents a picturesque challenge with mature trees and water hazards. The course is set in the countryside that inspired Elgar and provides a habitat for local wildlife. The club has seen continuous improvement since its opening, including the addition of water features. The main course measures around 6000 yards from the white tees with a par of 69 or 70 depending on the source. The Oaks Course is ideal for a shorter game or for honing short game skills. The club was acquired by its current proprietors in 2017, who have invested in the facilities, including an enlarged professional shop with a golf simulator.
