Broadway Golf Club
Parkland/Links/Inland Course in Broadway, England
Established in 1895, Broadway Golf Club is situated on a Cotswold escarpment, offering impressive views across the Vale of Evesham. The course has an interesting history, with the initial holes laid out in 1910 and the course expanding to 18 holes in 1962. While there are claims of Alister MacKenzie's involvement in the early design, these are not definitively confirmed. James Braid is credited with the design of the back nine, opened in 1962. The course itself presents an inland links feel with undulating fairways, some intersected by dry-stone walls, and contoured greens that demand precision. The par-3 fifth hole is particularly notable, playing significantly downhill to a testing green. Broadway Golf Club was also the home club of professional golfer Charles Mayo in the early 1900s. It is a members' club that welcomes visitors and has previously been a venue for Regional Open Qualifying.
