About Sandilands Golf Club
Once a fixture on the Lincolnshire coast, Sandilands Golf Club offered a classic links experience with views of the sea. Founded in 1894 as Sutton-on-Sea Golf Club, it was re-established as Sandilands Golf Club in 1952 following significant flooding. The course, known for its sandy fairways and subtle undulations, provided a straightforward, enjoyable round by the coast. While it served the local golfing community for many years, there is no record of it having hosted Open Qualifying events. The club ceased golf operations in 2018 and the site is now managed by the National Trust, undergoing a transformation into a coastal nature reserve.
