Nestled within the historic Blankney Estate in Lincolnshire, Blankney Golf Club offers a parkland golfing experience with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1904. Initially a nine-hole layout, the course was extended to eighteen holes in the late 1930s, with input from figures like Colonel Stafford Vere Hotchkin. The course as it plays today largely reflects a significant redesign undertaken by Cameron Sinclair in the late 1980s. Known for its slightly undulating terrain, Blankney presents a fair test with wide fairways and greens that can be quick. The layout features a mix of holes, including challenging par fours such as the left doglegging 9th and the straightforward 14th. Historically, the course had the unique characteristic of sharing its fairways with livestock, necessitating fenced greens and particular local rules, a practice that ceased by the early 1980s. While not a regular Open Championship venue, members from Blankney have competed in qualifying events. The club welcomes visitors seeking an enjoyable round in a pleasant rural setting.
