Romford Golf Club
Parkland Course in Romford, England
Romford Golf Club, established in 1894, is a private members' club located in Essex, England. The course was originally laid out by George McIntosh, with significant refashioning undertaken by the legendary James Braid, who was the club's professional from 1896 to 1904. Braid won his first Open Championship while at Romford. The parkland course is known for its tree-lined fairways and well-placed bunkers, demanding accuracy. It has a par of 71 and measures 6,383 yards from the back tees. Romford Golf Club has a history of hosting professional and amateur championships and has been a six-time Regional Qualifying venue for The Open Championship.
