Nestled in the Essex countryside, Abridge Golf and Country Club presents a parkland layout originally designed by the esteemed Henry Cotton in 1962. The course is set across undulating terrain and incorporates water hazards, offering a test of accuracy and strategy. While not among the UK's highest-ranked courses, it is considered one of the better challenges in Essex, known for its well-maintained fairways and greens. The course features memorable holes, including a challenging sequence on the back nine dubbed 'Amen Corner' by some. Abridge has also held the distinction of being a venue for The Open Championship Regional Qualifying on several occasions.
