Okehampton Golf Club
Moorland Course in Okehampton, England
Okehampton Golf Club, established in 1913, is nestled on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. The course, a mixture of parkland and moorland, was built into an ancient deer park, and it's not uncommon to see deer grazing. While not a championship length course, measuring around 5,200 to 5,300 yards depending on the tee, it presents a good test of golf with undulating terrain and greens known for their pace and challenge. The layout features a mix of holes, including a short but deceptive par-3 and a driveable par-4 with hazards lurking. The club prides itself on a friendly atmosphere and has made significant enhancements to its facilities over the years, including a rebuild of the changing rooms and pro shop in 2007.
