Oakmere Park Golf Club (Admirals)

Oakmere Park Golf Club, situated in Nottinghamshire, England, is home to the Admirals course. Originally established in the early 1970s with a design by Frank Pennink, the course occupies a rolling heathland landscape. The Admirals course, named in honour of Rear Admiral Robert St Vincent Sherbrooke, is the main 18-hole layout, complemented by the 9-hole Commanders course. The Admirals course has undergone significant work in recent years by Mackenzie & Ebert (Martin Ebert), known for their work at notable Open Championship venues. This redesign, completed in 2019, aimed to enhance the sandy, heathy character of the site with a focus on bunker style and layout, as well as re-routing some holes. While not a regular Open Qualifying venue, Oakmere Park has hosted other significant events, including the PGA Midland Open and various county events. The course is known for its free-draining nature, making it an 'all-weather' course.
