Belton Park Golf Club (Brownlow)

Belton Park Golf Club, situated in the historic parkland of the Belton House Estate in Lincolnshire, England, is one of the county's oldest golf clubs, tracing its origins back to 1890. Initially a 9-hole layout on land provided by Lord Brownlow, the club expanded to 18 holes by 1908. The course was impacted by both World Wars, serving as an army camp during the first and remaining open for use by USAAF airmen during the second. Following the First World War, the layout was redesigned by Tom Williamson. Further development in 1975, with advice from Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, saw the creation of 27 holes, arranged in three loops of nine: Brownlow, Ancaster, and Belmont. The Brownlow course, the focus here, offers a parkland test within the attractive landscape, which is also home to a herd of fallow deer. The club has hosted England Golf National events.
