North Wilts Golf Club

Established in 1890, North Wilts Golf Club is situated on the Wiltshire Downs, offering a classic downland golf experience with notable elevation changes and far-reaching views. The club's origins trace back to 1890, with Harry Colt making improvements to the original 9-hole layout in the early 1930s. The course was later extended to 18 holes in the early 1970s under the guidance of Charles Kenneth Cotton and Charles Lawrie. The course is known for its contrasting nines, with the opening holes offering expansive views across the downs, while the back nine takes on a more tree-lined character after crossing a road. The course features sloping fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and some memorable holes, including the elevated par-3 6th and the par-4 14th with its challenging two-tiered green.
