Bowood Golf & Country Club, situated within a picturesque English country estate in Wiltshire, offers a championship parkland course designed by Dave Thomas, opening in 1992. Recognized as the Official PGA Golf Course and Golf Academy for the South West, it is also ranked among the top courses in Wiltshire. The course, playing to a par of 72 and stretching over 7,300 yards from the black tees, meanders through valleys, streams, and mature woodland, featuring strategic bunkers, sculpted mounding, and quick greens. While not historically an Open Championship Qualifying venue, Bowood has hosted other professional and amateur events, including the PGA Pro-Captain Challenge West qualifying event and the Junior European Open Qualifier. The club welcomes visitors with various green fee options and offers a range of facilities including a floodlit driving range, practice greens, a pro shop with custom fitting, and on-site lodging.
