Set within the historic 1,000-acre Luton Hoo estate in Bedfordshire, England, the golf course at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa offers a blend of parkland and inland links styles. Opened in 2008 and designed by Mike Smith of Mass Designs, the course was laid out with careful consideration for the Grade 1 listed Capability Brown designed parkland, which meant significant earthmoving was restricted to greens and tees, and no sand bunkers were permitted. The course measures over 7,100 yards from the back tees and is a par 73. It has hosted professional events including the Jamega Tour, EuroPro Tour, and European Challenge Tour events. The layout features six holes with water hazards, and while some reviewers have noted conditions issues, it generally offers a fair test of golf within a grand setting.
