Nestled on the edge of the Lancashire Plain, Houghwood Golf, established in 1996, offers a parkland test with expansive views towards the Welsh Hills. The course, designed by Neville Pearson, presents a stimulating challenge across its 18 holes. Known for its large greens built to USGA specification, the layout provides an enjoyable experience for varying handicaps. While not a widely recognized championship venue or Open Qualifying location, Houghwood provides a solid golfing experience with well-regarded putting surfaces and engaging holes.
