Heythrop Park Resort, nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, offers a golf experience set within a historic estate. The Bainbridge Course, redesigned in 2009 by Tom Mackenzie, known for his work on Open Championship venues, is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course. It measures 7,088 yards from the back tees and weaves through 440 acres of undulating terrain featuring ancient woodland, lakes, and streams. The course provides a test of both driving ability and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and natural hazards coming into play. Signature holes include the 6th green beside a fishing lake, the 14th dogleg around woodland, and the closing 18th with the impressive mansion house as a backdrop. While not a regular Open Qualifying location, Heythrop Park has hosted events such as those on the Jamega Tour, which can offer pathways to higher levels of competition.
