Henley Golf Club ( Course)
Parkland Course in Henley-on-Thames, England
Nestled near the historic town of Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, Henley Golf Club is a parkland course with a rich history dating back to 1907. Designed by the renowned James Braid, the course was originally nine holes before quickly being extended to eighteen, officially opening in May 1908. The layout is influenced by the natural terrain, incorporating two wooded areas and two roads. While some modifications have been made over the years to address crossing fairways and roads, efforts were made around the club's centenary in 2007 to reinstate some of Braid's original design features. The course offers a mix of holes, including six par threes, four par fives, and eight par fours, presenting a balanced challenge with undulating fairways and strategically placed hazards. It has previously served as a Local Final Qualifying venue for The Open Championship.
