Hayling Golf Club
Links Course in Hayling Island, England
Hayling Golf Club, established in 1883, is a genuine links course situated on Hayling Island in England, offering a rare links experience on the south coast. Originally a nine-hole layout, it expanded to 18 holes in 1884. The course has seen design input from notable architects, with John Henry Taylor making significant revisions in 1905 and Tom Simpson further shaping the course in 1933 and the 1940s. The course is set within a Site of Special Scientific Interest, featuring undulating land, dunes, fescue, heather, and gorse, with views of the Solent and Langstone Harbour. It is recognized as a Top 50 Golf Course in England and a Top 100 Links Golf Course in the UK & Ireland. Hayling has also served as a qualifying course for The Open Championship.
