Haltwhistle Golf Club
Parkland Course in Haltwhistle, England
Haltwhistle Golf Club offers a distinctive golfing experience steeped in history, set in the picturesque Northumberland countryside. Established in 1967, the 18-hole, par-69 parkland course spans 5532 yards and is uniquely situated on both the Hadrian's Wall footpath and the Pennine Way. The course, designed by Andrew Mair, features undulating greens, trees, and ditches, providing a testing yet enjoyable round. Players can expect magnificent views of the South Tyne Valley, including glimpses of Thirlwall Castle, and may even spot indications of Roman remains on the course, adding a historical dimension to the game. While the course itself presents a fair challenge, the facilities at the club are noted as basic.
