Gosfield Lake Golf Club's Lakes Course, designed by Sir Henry Cotton and Howard Howard Swan, opened in 1987. This parkland course in Essex winds through woodland and across streams, with six lakes influencing play on eight holes. The course measures around 6,600 yards and is a par 72, offering a test that requires strategic thinking, particularly around the water hazards. While not a regular Open Qualifying venue, it has hosted events such as the Essex Golf Union championships and has been described by Sir Henry Cotton as having the potential to be the finest inland test of golf in England.
