Goodwood Golf Club (Downs Course)

Goodwood's Downs Course, situated in England, is a classic downland golf course with a rich history dating back to 1914. Designed by the legendary James Braid, a five-time Open Champion, the course showcases many of his signature design principles, including strategic doglegs and challenging bunker placements. The course, which plays across undulating downland terrain, offers golfers dramatic changes in elevation and provides impressive views of the surrounding Sussex landscape, Chichester Cathedral, and even the Isle of Wight. While primarily a downland layout, the course begins and ends with some parkland holes. The Downs Course has undergone renovations, including work by Mackenzie & Ebert (Martin Ebert), to modernize the challenge while retaining Braid's original character. It has previously hosted a PGA Championship Pro-Am Qualifier.
