Fleetwood Golf Club (The Links)
Links Course in Fleetwood, England
Fleetwood Golf Club boasts a history stretching back to 1861 when officers from the local barracks first played the game. The current course, a true links layout and the only one of its kind on the Fylde Coast, was designed by James Steer and opened in 1932. The course presents a fair test, featuring gently undulating fairways and subtle greens. Its routing is not a simple out-and-back, with the front nine playing along the coastline, offering views of the Irish Sea, and the back nine moving slightly inland. The prevailing winds add a significant challenge to a round here. The club has a history of hosting notable events, including qualifying for the English Men's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship (Brabazon Trophy).
