Denham Golf Club

Denham Golf Club, located in Buckinghamshire, England, is a traditional private members' club with a history dating back to its founding in 1910. The course, a parkland layout with some heathland characteristics, was designed by the renowned architect Harry Colt and opened for play in 1911. The club's proximity to a railway station, uniquely named 'Denham Golf Club', which opened in 1912 at the club's request, adds a distinctive element to its history. While primarily a Colt design, the course has seen some alterations over the years, including work by James Braid, who is credited with creating the two-tiered 15th green. The course plays over gently undulating terrain and is known for its free-draining gravel subsoil, ensuring year-round playability. The clubhouse itself is a notable feature, converted from 16th-century farm buildings. The course presents a balanced challenge, with some particularly engaging holes found in the middle sections of both nines. Denham has been used as a venue for Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship in the past, specifically from 2011 to 2015.
