Nestled on the border of Berkshire and Oxfordshire, The Caversham, Home of Reading Golf Club, offers a compelling inland golf experience. Originally opening in 2000 as Caversham Heath Golf Club with a design by David Williams, the course underwent a significant transformation following the merger with Reading Golf Club. Canadian architect Thomas McBroom spearheaded a comprehensive redesign, resulting in the Eyston Course which debuted in April 2021. This reimagined layout, built to USGA standards, provides a challenging yet enjoyable test across its parkland and heathland-style holes, featuring notable bunkering and varied hole designs. The course measures over 7,200 yards from the championship tees and plays to a par of 72. While the club boasts a rich history through its merger with the century-old Reading Golf Club, the current course is a modern creation. There is no indication that Caversham Heath or The Caversham has served as an Open Qualifying venue.
