Canons Brook Golf Club
Parkland Course in Harlow, England
Canons Brook Golf Club, situated in Harlow, Essex, England, is a parkland course designed by the renowned Sir Henry Cotton. Opened in phases in 1964 and officially in 1965/1966, the course was routed across 112 acres of undulating agricultural land with Cotton's philosophy of incorporating many bunkers and large greens with little rough. The brook from which the club takes its name features on several holes, notably crossing the first and near the 17th and 18th greens. The par-73 course measures over 6,700 yards from the back tees and is considered a challenging test that rewards thoughtful play. The clubhouse is located in a former farmhouse with outbuildings.
