Boyce Hill Golf & Country Club, established in 1922 and situated in South Benfleet, Essex, offers a parkland course experience designed by the esteemed James Braid. While the club was founded by members from Leigh Park Golf Club and initially featured a layout by F.G. “Joe” Steel, Braid was commissioned in 1925 to redesign the course, with reconstruction handled by Taylor & Frederick Hawtree. The course, measuring just over 6,000 yards with a par of 68, is known for its undulating fairways and elevated location, providing views over the Thames Estuary. Despite its relatively short yardage, the course is considered a good test of golf. The club has a history of hosting pro-am competitions. Notably, Abridge Golf & Country Club, also in Essex, has been an Open Championship Regional Qualifying course.
