Established in 1883, Army Golf Club in Aldershot, England, is a mature parkland course with a rich history tied to the British Army. The club has evolved over the years, with the current layout, situated on 165 acres of undulating woodland, established in the 1960s and designed by C.K. “Ken” Cotton, Frank Pennink and Charles Lawrie in 1974. The course measures around 6,550 yards from the white tees and plays to a par of 71. It features tree-lined fairways, some natural water hazards, and greens that can be challenging to read. The course is known for its demanding par threes. Notably, each bridge on the course spanning water ditches bears the cap badge of a different British Army regiment, a nod to the club's heritage. While having military origins, the club has a predominantly civilian membership today and offers a welcoming atmosphere to both civilian and military golfers. The club has previously hosted the Hampshire County Championship.
