Nestled in the picturesque village of Thornhill in Dumfries & Galloway, Thornhill Golf Club offers a delightful blend of parkland and heathland golf. Established in 1893 as a nine-hole layout, the course was extended to its current 18 holes in 1979, designed by Willie Fernie. The terrain is relatively level, providing an enjoyable walk while still offering a good test for golfers of all abilities. The course is known for its scenic views of the surrounding Southern Uplands. While not an Open Qualifying venue, it's a classic Scottish golf club with a reputation as a hidden gem in the region.
