Mount Ellen Golf Club ( Course)
Parkland Course in Glasgow, Scotland
Mount Ellen Golf Club, located near Glasgow in Scotland, was a parkland course with 18 holes and a par of 68. Founded in 1904 and expanded to 18 holes in 1920 with design input from Tom Simpson, it was described as a tricky challenge requiring accuracy over distance, featuring tree-lined fairways and small, well-bunkered greens. The club closed in August 2019 due to falling membership and financial pressures. The former clubhouse has since been converted into a restaurant, shop, and garden centre.
