Perched on the dramatic coastline near the historic town of St Andrews in Scotland, The Torrance course at Fairmont St Andrews offers a compelling round with striking views over St Andrews Bay. Opened in 2001, the course was designed by Ryder Cup Captain Sam Torrance, with contributions from Gene Sarazen and later redesign work by Gary Stephenson. While the land was originally farmland, the design successfully incorporates classic Scottish revetted bunkering and undulating greens to create a links-style experience. The course routes around the hotel on the front nine before heading towards the sea on the back nine, where clifftop holes provide breathtaking vistas. The Torrance has a notable tournament history, having served as a Final Qualifying venue for The Open Championship in 2010 and 2019, and also hosting the Scottish Seniors Open and the DP World Tour's Hero Open.
