Edzell Golf Club ( Old)
Heathland/Parkland Course in Edzell, Scotland
Edzell Golf Club's Old Course, located in Edzell, Angus, Scotland, was originally designed by Bob Simpson in 1895 and later updated based on recommendations from James Braid and upgrades by Mackenzie & Ebert (Martin Ebert). The 18-hole course, with a par of 71, began as heathland and now has a parkland feel due to tree planting in the 1960s. Situated at the gateway to the Grampians, it offers scenic views and a challenging game on well-maintained turf, featuring hazards like the disused railway line. Visitors are welcome daily, with advance booking recommended, and a valid handicap certificate or card is required.
