About Portadown Golf Club
Nestled in the heart of County Armagh, Portadown Golf Club offers a mature parkland test with a history dating back to 1900, though the current 18-hole layout was established in 1974. The course is characterised by tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. The River Bann presents a notable challenge and feature on several holes, including the par-5 9th where the tee shot plays across the water and impacts the strategy on the 14th and 17th holes which run alongside the river. While not a widely recognised championship venue or Open Qualifying site, Portadown provides an enjoyable and challenging round in a pleasant, partial woodland setting.
