About Cairndhu Golf Club
Established in 1928 as Larne Town Golf Club, Cairndhu Golf Club relocated to its present stunning coastal headland site in 1958, with the initial nine holes designed by John SF Morrison. An additional nine holes, also credited to Morrison, were added by 1963, completing the eighteen-hole parkland layout. Set across rolling hills, the course is known for its panoramic vistas of the Antrim coastline and the Irish Sea. The par-three second hole, played from a significantly elevated tee, is a particular highlight, offering dramatic views. Cairndhu has also served as a venue for notable events, having hosted the NI Open and ISPS HANDA World Invitational Qualifier on multiple occasions.
