Upavon Golf Club
Downland Course in Upavon, England
Upavon Golf Club, set in the heart of Wiltshire, England, offers a golfing experience steeped in history, dating back to its origins in 1912 for the Royal Flying Corps. The club transitioned to civilian membership in 1993, leading to the expansion to a full 18-hole layout by 1997. The course, largely shaped by the design efforts of Richard Blake, occupies a free-draining downland setting. This natural terrain provides a course that, while not among the UK's most famous or a former Open Qualifying venue, offers a decent test of golf with engaging characteristics and provides appealing views across the surrounding landscape of Salisbury Plain and the Vale of Pewsey.
