Ulverston Golf Club, situated in South Cumbria overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells, is a parkland course with a rich history. Founded in 1895, the club moved to its current Bardsea location in 1910. Originally laid out by Open champion Alex Herd, the course was significantly remodelled by renowned architect H. S. Colt in the 1920s. The par 71 course measures over 6,200 yards and presents a challenging yet enjoyable round. The layout is noted for its excellent turf and true greens, with strategically placed bunkering that demands accurate play. While not a widely recognized Open Qualifying venue historically, the club does host open competitions and has had a player participate in recent Regional Qualifying events for The Open Championship.
