Carus Green Golf Club

Carus Green Golf Club, located on the fringes of the Lake District near Kendal, England, was founded in 1994 by Eileen and Fred Downham, evolving from their dairy farm. The course initially opened with nine holes and was later expanded to eighteen. Situated beside the River Kent, the parkland course features rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, and water hazards that enhance the natural landscape. Recent remodelling has included enhanced tees and USGA specification greens. While not historically an Open Qualifying venue, Carus Green has hosted Northern PGA events and various open competitions.
