The Rayleigh Club (Duke (South Course))
Parkland Course in Rayleigh, England
The Duke course, now known as the South Course at The Rayleigh Club in Essex, England, traces its origins back to 1991 when it opened as Hanover Golf Club. It later operated as Lords Golf and Country Club before becoming part of The Rayleigh Club. Designed by architect Reg Plumbridge, the course is set within a scenic parkland landscape featuring a number of lakes that influence play on several holes. It has been recognised as a championship course and has previously hosted the PGA's East Anglian Open. While a notable course in the region, it has not been a venue for Open Championship Qualifying. The layout presents a test of accuracy and strategy amidst its gently rolling terrain.
