Test Valley Golf Club
Downland Course in Basingstoke, England
Test Valley Golf Club, situated in the idyllic north Hampshire countryside, offers a mature downland course experience. Founded in 1992 and designed by John Wright and Eamon Darcy, the course initially featured tight, links-like rye grass fairways but has since matured into a downland layout. The par-72 course provides a challenging yet fair test for golfers of all abilities, with prominent bunkers and water features adding to the strategic demands. While Test Valley hosts various club competitions, there is no readily available information to suggest it has been used as an Open Qualifying location. The club is known for its excellent year-round playing surfaces due to the free-draining downland terrain.
