Nestled in the Staffordshire countryside near Dudley, The Staffordshire Golf Club, formerly known as Swindon Golf Club, offers a pleasant parkland golf experience. The course's history traces back to 1974 when the initial nine holes were laid out on land once part of the Earl of Dudley's estate. By 1976, it was expanded to a full 18 holes, originally under the name Blackhills Golf Club before becoming Swindon Golf Club in 1986 and later adopting its current name. The layout is characterised by tree-lined fairways, featuring a mix of pines, firs, and rhododendrons, and presents an undulating test of golf. While not long by modern standards, the course demands strategic play to navigate its well-positioned hazards. It provides a welcoming atmosphere for visiting golfers.
