Sleaford Golf Club (18 Hole Course)

Sleaford Golf Club, established in 1905, is located in the Lincolnshire countryside. The club was founded following a meeting of Sleaford's prominent citizens who supported the creation of a golf club for the local area. The initial layout was a 9-hole course designed by Tom Williamson, a professional from Notts Golf Club and later captain of the English International Golf Team. The course was later extended to 18 holes, with Tom Williamson also advising on the extension. The course is often described as an 'inland links' due to its sandy subsoil, which provides excellent drainage. It was also revised in more recent times by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas to create a more balanced course. The course features a stream that comes into play on several holes and includes a notable par three on the front nine and a challenging par five on the back nine. In addition to the main course, there is also a 6-hole par 3 course and practice facilities. The club has previously hosted a Junior Open & Daily Telegraph Qualifier.
