Silverdale Golf Club (18 Hole Course)

Silverdale Golf Club, established in 1906, is nestled in the stunning Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Lancashire, England. Originally a 9-hole layout, the course evolved over time, officially becoming an 18-hole course in 2002. Set among limestone outcrops, natural woodlands, and streams, the par 70 course offers a game of two distinct halves. The older section of the course features tight valleys, heathland, and limestone pavement, while the newer holes present a more open parkland feel. The terrain, particularly the underlying limestone ridge, ensures excellent drainage, allowing for play year-round. The course is known for its dramatic elevation changes and impressive views across Morecambe Bay towards the Lakeland and Howgill Fells. The 13th hole, known as "The Plateau," is a notable feature, recognised in 'Britain's 100 Extraordinary Golf Holes' for its elevated tee and challenging nature. While not having hosted Open Qualifying, Silverdale provides a scenic and engaging round of golf.
