Shipley Golf Club, situated in a mature wooded valley in Bingley, West Yorkshire, has a rich history dating back to 1896 when it was founded as The Shipley & Saltaire Golf Club. The club relocated to its current site at Beckfoot in 1921, featuring a new course designed by the acclaimed golf course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie. This parkland course is known for its tree-lined fairways and gently rolling terrain. The layout includes an unusual six par-3s, with the 190-yard 7th hole, playing downhill to a two-tiered green, considered the signature hole. While a relatively flat and easy walking course, it provides a good test of skill and accuracy. The club has been a regular venue for Yorkshire County and Bradford Union fixtures.
