Ripon City Golf Club
Parkland Course in Ripon, England
Nestled in the serene North Yorkshire countryside near the historic city of Ripon, Ripon City Golf Club traces its origins back to 1891. Initially established as a nine-hole layout which opened in 1908, the course was later expanded to its current eighteen holes in 1993. Recent work by architect Howard Howard Swan has helped integrate the newer holes with the original nine, which is notable for its significant elevation changes, challenging ditches, and scenic views of the surrounding landscape and Ripon Cathedral. The parkland course presents an enjoyable test of golf, featuring undulating terrain, varied hole designs, and recently updated bunkering.
