Mount Pleasant Golf Club

Mount Pleasant Golf Club, situated in the picturesque Bedfordshire countryside in England, offers a blend of traditional parkland and modern inland links-style golf. Originally established as a 9-hole course in 1970 on private land and moving to its current site in 1976, the course was designed by Murray Crafter and initially opened for play as a 9-hole layout in 1978. An extension in the early 1990s, with fine-tuning by Brian Crafter, saw it become a full 18-hole course by 1992. The course incorporates existing natural features such as trees, hedges, ponds, and ditches, with an additional 10,000 indigenous trees planted, creating well-established tree-lined holes on the original nine. The newer holes feature undulating fairways and fast sloping greens, providing a contrasting challenge. The course is known for its excellent condition and presentation, aiming to be a fair test for experienced players while not being too daunting for beginners. The par-4 9th hole, which doglegs around a lake, is noted as a signature hole. Mount Pleasant has hosted Open Qualifying events.
