Maldon Golf Club, established in 1891, is one of the older clubs in Essex. The course is set on low-lying ground between the Chelmer/Blackwater Navigation and the River Chelmer. It is a nine-hole course that offers 18 different teeing positions to provide variety for golfers. The course features mature trees and water hazards, presenting an enjoyable, easy-walking round. While not a championship layout or a traditional Open Qualifying venue, it provides a pleasant test of golf in a tranquil setting.
