The Lakes course at Potters Resorts Five Lakes, located in Colchester, England, is an 18-hole parkland course designed by European Tour player Neil Coles and David Williams. Originally part of a larger complex that included the earlier Links course dating back to 1974, the Lakes course opened in the early 1990s, with a notable televised exhibition match featuring Nick Faldo. The course, playing to a par of 72 and stretching over 6,200 yards from the silver tees, incorporates significant water hazards on several holes, living up to its name. While not consistently ranked among the top courses in the UK, it has previously hosted regional PGA events and European Tour qualifying competitions in the 1990s. The course is known for its gentle undulation, making it an easy walk, and features a mix of mature and newly planted trees, well-placed bunkers, and hedgerows.
