Ilkley Golf Club

Ilkley Golf Club, established in 1890, is one of the oldest golf clubs in Yorkshire, England. Initially a 9-hole course on Rombald's Moor, the club relocated and an 18-hole course was designed by the notable architects Alister MacKenzie and Harry Colt, opening in 1898. Situated in the picturesque Wharfe Valley with Ilkley Moor as a backdrop, the course is significantly influenced by the River Wharfe which runs alongside several of the initial holes. While not a championship length by modern standards, the par-69 course of just over 6,200 yards presents a good test with well-placed bunkers and challenging greens. The club has a rich history and has welcomed many renowned golfers. Ilkley Golf Club has previously served as a regional qualifying venue for The Open Championship.
